I decided to dedicate this on-line course to my Mother, who I have not seen for many years:
The crazy hippie chick, who wore her heart on her sleeve. Lover to criminals, drug dealers and X-hells angles (my many Dad’s) who taught me the true meaning of forgiveness, and that no one is completely bad. The woman who supported me to have complete freedom, to be my own man, leaving school at 12, to spend my time in nature, and leaving home at 15, to follow my dreams.
The woman who put a tent in her backyard, and filled her apartment with homeless teenage drug addicts, car thieves, and the like, trying to give them the love they deserved.
Although your intentions where good, with the innocence of a child, and the passion of a lion, it did not always turn out for the best.
I’m sorry that in the end, I could not save you from yourself, the doctors, or the mental health system, although I tried.
I’m not sure if you’re still alive, but I want you to know that I love you, I’m proud of you, and all that you did for the world. Thank you for teaching me some of the hardest lessons in life, even though they took me a long time to learn.
I love you Mum.
